Overview

Meet a mother-of-pearl desk clock featuring the Flowers & Butterflies motif, handmade in Korea. It keeps time behind a shimmering hand-inlaid face.

Heritage & Craft

Flowers paired with butterflies form a Korean wish for joy, love, and a flourishing life. Najeonchilgi (나전칠기) is the centuries-old Korean art of inlaying iridescent mother-of-pearl into layered ottchil lacquer entirely by hand, a craft kept alive in Korea's specialist workshops.

Artisan

This piece is the work of Korean master artisan Park In-ho, whose hand-finishing gives it its individual character.
