Overview

A tie pin whose face is set with a glass panel carrying a traditional Korean cloud pattern. Metal and glass — no shell inlay, no lacquer.

Heritage & Craft

The stylised cloud (unmun) appears on Korean court dress and architecture as a mark of rank and good fortune, and its curling scroll survives being shrunk to a few millimetres better than most motifs. Here it sits under a glass cabochon on a plated metal bar.
