Overview

A small hand-carved wooden cross for wall mounting. The form is plain and slightly irregular, with the carving marks left visible and a graduated finish that runs from pale at the top to a deeper tone at the foot.

Craft

Cut and shaped from solid wood, then hand-finished rather than machine-polished, so the surface keeps the texture of the tool. No two pieces are identical in grain or shading.

Artist

The work of Kim Dong-heon, a Korean wood-carving artisan.
