A handcrafted Korean najeonchilgi 2-tier jewelry box decorated with the three-color peony design in hand-inlaid natural mother-of-pearl.

Heritage & Craft

The peony (moran) is Korea's flower of wealth and honor; this piece renders it in three tones of shell. In najeonchilgi, slivers of natural shell are cut and set into the lacquer by hand, so every piece is slightly different.
