A handcrafted Korean najeonchilgi 2-tier ottchil lacquer jewelry box decorated with the four seasons — spring & summer design in hand-inlaid natural mother-of-pearl.

Heritage & Craft

This piece is finished in ottchil, the natural sap lacquer of the Korean lacquer tree, and decorated with a seasonal landscape in mother-of-pearl. In najeonchilgi, slivers of natural shell are cut and set into the lacquer by hand, so every piece is slightly different.
